At the end of the day, when you feel exhausted and numb, how do you cheer yourself up? We, at YCare, collect brilliant stories about incredible people. And we want to share these inspirations with you.
How do you imagine yourself at the age of 91?
Resting on the sofa? Strolling the streets with dignity … and a cane?
Whatever you imagine, we’re almost sure it’s not about running a marathon.
Our today’s’ discovery is 91 year old Harriette Thompson, also a cancer survivor, who completed a San Diego marathon in 2014. She even set a new record at the time. Her secret is moving a lot on a daily basis, yoga and stretching classes. We suspect sense of humor is also involved. Before the setting record she was joking that she only feels her age after running a marathon. At 91 you can be like Harriette or not. It is your choiсe!
